Borrowed Flowers (Eva)
Borrowed Flowers – 6/19/21, Acrylic on mixed media paper

My granddaughter (5) was painting with me.  She was using my brush in a way I thought might be damaging to the brush, flattening the bristles hard and swirling. At first I tried to show her how to be gentle with the brush, but then I noticed the cool swirly patterns she was making in her colors.

I have not yet found a way to paint flowers. She, on the other hand, seems to have stumbled right onto some gorgeous ones. Thus the title of this piece, Borrowed Flowers, because I took her technique (albeit, a lot more gentle on the brushes) and made it my own.  I told her was I going to and I did. =^D
